From the studio of McKenzie Swift
For her last birthday Kenzie got a little 3 megapixel Fuji digital camera. She's been snapping pictures like mad. She tends towards flower pics and action shots of Casey and Jen. For our first installment I'll post some of her latest flower pics. Now maybe I'll get a break from the constant pestering to show her pictures.

Damn kids, get off my lawn
As this NY Times article mentions, ringtones are being used now that are of such high frequency that they are out of range for many adults. Sample frequency here. If you can hear it, you've still got the young ears. It's still loud and clear for me, so I guess I'm not falling apart yet.
Update:
If you scroll down in this post, there's samples of varying frequencies. I can hear up to about 20,000 Hz.

Everyone, great and small, is welcome at my house.
Anytime someone walks up to my front door, I hope they get a good look at what is waiting to drop on their head. I am harvesting baby black widows to serve as my army against humans.
You can get a good look at all my minions and the ready-to-burst egg sac with all new soldiers. No one will be able to stop me! BWAHAHAHAHA!
Of course I had to kill the mother in front of all of her children. That way they will know my ruthlessness and obey my every command. Of course I want to buy some candy to support your elementary school. Wait right here in the doorway until I get back with my money...

Diet Coke and Mentos, a great team
I just rencently heard about this interesting phenomenon that occurs when you drop some Mentos into a 2 Liter bottle of diet coke. But these guys take it to a whole new level. They are probably high school chemistry teachers with a lot of free time. With commercials that are so gay, I'm glad Mentos are good for something.

Progress
So here is what I started out with. A blank canvas of sorts. Healthy dark soil that I had to bring in with three truck loads. Otherwise I would be stuck with red clay that is completely worthless.
In less than a month, my squash is already out of control. And not the crooked neck squash in my pants. I have already started to give some to the guy I work with because I do not feel like eating squash three times a day for the next four months.
Here is my beautiful sweet peas. I never cook them. They are delicious to open and eat right off the vine. This one is actually one of the smaller ones. They normally get to be about 4-6 inches long.
My blueberries are about ready to be picked as well. Just a little more sun and some water and we should be ready to go.
I am going to be making more blackberry shakes than ever before. This one plant is going to be loaded down with them. It will at least give Kerri something healthy to eat other than Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
I guess I would be remiss if I did not mention my progressing wife. She is about 6 and a half months along. The due date is September 1st and it is going to be a boy. We have decided on Scooville Swift so nobody better plan on taking that name.
