Damn kids, get off my lawn

As this NY Times article mentions, ringtones are being used now that are of such high frequency that they are out of range for many adults. Sample frequency here. If you can hear it, you've still got the young ears. It's still loud and clear for me, so I guess I'm not falling apart yet.

Update:

If you scroll down in this post, there's samples of varying frequencies. I can hear up to about 20,000 Hz.

I can hear it. It reminds me of the device that Darin, Greg, Todd, and I made that would emit sounds that high. Darin used to take it to class at AHS and turn it on and drive everyone in the class crazy.

I just listened to all of the files on the update and I could hear up to the 23,000 but the 24 and 25 I could not hear jack.

I could hear the ring and up to 16,000 Hz. I remember that device that we made, and that it drove Janice crazy. She came charging through the band room like an angry water buffalo to take out Todd because he had it in his backpack.

I heard the ring. Maybe it's just something about the age you act rather than the age you actually are that allows one to hear it.
