Christmas in the Joker's palace

No pic yet, but we're currently scraping wallpaper and all that good stuff so we can get some painting done upstairs. I also cut a big doorway into that wall separating the living room and kitchen so it would be more great roomy in there. A lesser man might let his ignorance of carpentry give him pause, but not I. Fortunately it's not a load bearing wall, so there's limits to how badly things can go wrong. We're painting the kitchen and living room yellow, and we're putting grey carpet in the upstairs. But, the carpet guys don't come to install until Jan. 9th, so anyone who's coming over at Christmas, be prepared for seizure inducing yellow walls with maroon floors.

You HAVE to post pictures. Man have we been there before. The best memory I have of do it yourself fixes and improvments is Rich on the roof at 1:00 am in the rain trying to fix a big gaping hole with nothing but his bathrobe on! I still am relieved that he didn't fall off and get hurt. Try explaining that one.
